Well, I went out Friday night for what was the last time out this season hunting big, linesided bass. Met up with Saltheart and met his fishing buddy Smokey down in the southwestern haunts of Rhody... All of the tackle shops were closed and Salty&Smokey were unable to get eels. I had a handfull left over from earlier in the week. The three of us fished for a couple hours to no avail. Nothing on the plugs or eels, other than weeds (there was alot of that). Conditions were decent, dropping tide, nice water, but a less than desireable wind. But no fish.

This doesn't mean that one cannot catch fish as some decent fish are still being landed. Just that all we have left are straglers now that the majority of fish have moved on....

Well, I headed home after a few hours, back to my VERY pregnant wife. Saltheart and Smokey moved onto another spot, hopefully they found fish.

BTW - Saltheart, I liked that little bowl to the west of that point, certainly merits further investigation :D

Catch em or not , I love being out there!. I agree John that bowl looked great. In fact from where we gained access all the way west is great fishing. Your more familiar with that area coming in the other way and heading east I'm sure.
Go to the terra server and take a look at the airial photos of the area. Many primo points and bowl in that relatively short stretch.
Good to fish with you again. With the event you and your wife have planned around Thanksgiving , you'll be a busy guy next season. But then again , with the new house , the fish will be in your back yard!! :)
