View Full Version : LOBSTER, EEL, SQUID
scottw 06-25-2009, 09:54 AM here's some new stuff, the lobster is 8" and close to 4 ounces to accomdate the large profile, the squid is heavily weighted for bouncing along the depths and the eel is fitted for skins...two fish on the lobster first night out so they appear to lke it, it's a bottom hugger...
Pete F. 06-25-2009, 09:55 AM Very nice
numbskull 06-25-2009, 03:51 PM Never a dull plug with you. Great work.
RIROCKHOUND 06-25-2009, 04:06 PM Your political beliefs, I don;t like.
your plugs.... Very nice
scottw 06-25-2009, 07:57 PM thanks all,
George, I don't think I can outfish your yellow darters:kewl:
Rock, I won't hold it against ya man, us Gaudet alums need to stick together:heybaby:...and big congrats on the October bundle!
RIROCKHOUND 06-25-2009, 08:01 PM is that a spinner on the head of the lobster?
scottw 06-25-2009, 09:10 PM no just a flapper, it needed just a bit more weight up front and rather than drill and add some shot I dug out a small freshwater spoon, worked perfectly, figured the lobster tail must make some little clacking when it's scurrying, seems to work??? a spinner might not be a bad idea though:kewl:
ProfessorM 06-26-2009, 10:07 AM Very nice stuff. You should try a longer, jointed one of those eels. Very lifelike paint job you got there.
scottw 06-26-2009, 12:37 PM I made a big jionted one for the plug swap for DAD ...I'd really like to make some more, I'm trying to make the back section with a face like a bottle swimmer and a relatively short front section and hope that gives it a wiggle as well....I tried it on the first one but probably didn't creat a big enough plug mouth and it was winter so testing was tough
ProfessorM 06-26-2009, 02:10 PM capitol job indeed
Mr. Sandman 07-06-2009, 10:31 AM Very unique! Great detail, hate to see a bluefish bite into any of those. How much time did you spend making each one?
