12lb test, no doubt 12lb test.

Ok I won't be a wise guy. What river, what reel, what are you targeting? I still think it'll be 12lb test. :lama:

It's a Shakespeare Tiger nothing fancy. $20 for the season

Pretty much trying for stripers

I would spool up with 20 its mostly sandy bottom not many cut offs bring wire leader if the blues are around

There's a TON of rocks in some spots, i ripped my line atleast 10 times yesterday on the bottom within the hour.

I still like the 12lb test, the lighter line you use the further you can cast and more you can hold on the reel.

It's all trial and error, the best thing to do is fish as often as you can.

Be sure you don't have the drag set to tight, you'll be amazed the size fish you can get on light line.

Hit your local bait and tackle shop if you're unsure, they'll point you in the right direction. Good luck

Go to Surfland and Talk to Kay or Martha....they will help you out as far as tackle goes.
