This guy needs a lesson in how to properly use a boat ramp.

WTF :doh: How does someone like that go through life? I can't imagine what through his head at the time.

why didn't he just put the boat in reverse and back up :huh:

I'm guessing he's fairly new at boating. Pulled up to eyeball the ramp situation facing towards the water then decided to jump out of the truck for whatever reason and forgot to put the truck in park. See ya. Your day is toast before it even started. Niko's right about the amazing things you see at ramps. I've seen trucks in the water where all you can see are the headlights shining up out. People trying to back the boat off the trailer with the rear tie down straps still on......I could go on and on.
Sometime when you've got nothing to do, sit at a boat ramp on a busy weekend day and watch the show. People line up their lawn chairs in Plymouth and just hang out at the top of the ramp for the day. :smash:

Boat ramps on busy weekends are probably the best free show still offered. I used to go and watch until I bought a boat. Now I'm one of the bozos!

It is amazing what you see. Half the people take 20-30 mins to launch. The boats start stacking up like the airport. On wide ramps we'll pull down in the middle between the ramps, one guy in the truck,one in the boat, on or off in 2 mins, waving buh bye to lineup needing a dock.

I used to go out with my buddy from the Plymouth ramp. People would be lined up with camcorders waiting for the "show"...

It happened quite a few times too, saw a guy tear his trailer in half when he dropped the wheels off the concrete. Yes it goes on and on and on.....

%$%$%$%$ happens. 1200 days on the water at my last renewal, and we all %$%$%$%$ up, period!

PWC launching is difficult too.

He may be new to boating, but that Whaler is close to 40 years old. By the look of the console it's a Newport, I had one as a kid in the early 70's.
