Not just me by far!
had a full 3 man All- 'Oak' crew yesterday. one to run the boat, one to work the cockpit, and one to run around and catch his first Mahi and YFT. It's fun to put an enthusiastic person on some fish, everything was a wow and exciting! Also, these were the biggest Mahi's we've had on Valhalla.

great weather out there, a bit choppy southbound (dodged a storm) and NW made it lumpy coming home, but nice grease out there all day.

Small highlight was catching YFT on a trolled, lime green sluggo on a x-heavy hooked 3oz leadhead... fished it as a shotgun out behind the rigger-birds . stayed together and fished at 7.5kts....

I'm not shy, but with the sun/shadow this was easier to adjust the dark portion of the image.

medium Mahi from yesterday, largest was 20.4lb

Nice, I dropped a very large Mahi in Mexico at the boat and ever since then I can't wait to get another to get the picture with it.

Few more shots. Just got them via email.
Small 30lb YFT and two nice Mahi. Bull was just over 20. Less-small YFT, 45lb or so.

Can't get a weather break lately.
was a good day. no fish lost at the boat. what an oddity!

2 questions.

how far south of MV to find those temps?

What kind of boat are you running?

I'd like to head that way at some point but I'm a bit apprehensive because I've never gone that far before.

29ft Blackfin
we were 95 miles south of Newport.

I know you spend a ton of time on the water, but if you have doubts, don't go... it's a long way home!
