About 9 years ago, my wife and I gave up our seats on the ferry to the Vineyard for him and his wife. Mr. Cronkite didn't want my wife's seat and told her he'd gladly stand because men should give up their seats for ladies. My wife had to insist he sit down. I whispered to my wife "do you recognize him? He's Walter Cronkite." She didn't believe me because she figured he'd never be on the regular ferry until she saw the huge diamond ring on his wife's finger. It was about half as big as a golf ball. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
