This report indicates that the Scottish Grey Seals are each eating between two and two and a half tons of fish a year:

Let's hope that fishery management on this side of the pond starts to factor in the true impact of our own population explosion of seals.

one guy suggested that that we need to return to the days of Long lining

instead of dragging....

but even whales have learned to expertly
pluck fish from long lines .... but that's off topic

it's pretty hard for conservationists to argue
against controlling the population of seals when a fisherman
cannot even catch a fish without a seal intercepting it. :hs:
