Your photos are way better than mine. I need a decent digital camera. This is a simple and neat plug. Casts a mile, simple to make, and if you cast one away, it's not a biggie. Is that Flo Orange under the silver? capesams 01-30-2003, 10:11 PM that looks like stan gibbs skipper. not a ranger, its wood right? fishing bum wannabe 01-31-2003, 08:02 AM The Skippers I've seen are round, not slab sided. Goose's plug looks more like those slab sided plugs as well. The plug I originally copied for the Bounder was plastic, although I would bet the prototypes were wood because I was able to make exact duplicates on my lathe. I don't remember the manufacturer of that one but I remember there being a couple of manufacturers building this style of plug in plastic. This was in the days of few bass but lots of 3-6 lb blues. Goose 01-31-2003, 09:12 AM Please be patient with me, I used to chew on plugs when I was a kid. Slipknot 01-31-2003, 09:56 AM Thanks Tony, it must be me and the way I was trying to explain it. I hope the plugs you chewed on were not painted with lead-base paint. Now that plug looks simple to make. Looks alot like tose ones they use on Nantucket. capesams 01-31-2003, 12:22 PM I'm bad...thats a gibbs 21/4oz jack rabbit not a skipper, the skipper was all round. the one thats used on nantucket is a plastic spoffet's. but this style plug was born on nantucket. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
