Just returned from 2 weeks vaca. Fished almost daily. All kinds of fishing for stripers. Live lining, fly fishing, chunk, plugs. 2 entire days on my buddies boat fishing live macks we zubikied up. Caught many in the low teens (lbs). Some of the most memorable fish were 4 26-30 inchers caught on the fly rod in the surf. Sand eel clausers. Saw FEWER fisherman than I have in 10 years! Don't know if that's good or bad. Surf was loaded with sand eels.Great time. First time I didn't keep a fish for dinner. Too busy eating the lobster pie at the maine diner on rt. 1. Had some of the best whole belly clams ever at Bob's clam shack. Terrific PEI mussels in fra diavalo sauce at Angelinas in Wells. Flo's hot dogs. Not so good, but ya haveta have one, right? Best of all, the Weather was really nice.

Bob's was good back when you get a clam plate for $5

Now it's crazy what they get. Good clams though.

There's no fish in Maine.
