The people that fall for things like this deserve to have their money taken - aside from the elderly.

right
just like the poor old man who won a half million scratch ticket and since he did not hire a security force , it's "his own fault" that he got robbed/pickpocketed of the winning ticket :rollem:

Ya Bill, just send all your info to the fbi and they'll take care of everything:fishin:

Haha... I was being sarcastic about the security force. And yes, with the terrible English and someone asking detailed personal identification information over an email with terms like "Scan Copy of Your Identity", people that fall for this have no excuse.

Putting $500,000 in your back pocket is reckless. Who knows, maybe he wasn't even pick pocketed. Everyone has put something in their back pocket that has fallen out.

Not taking the slightest precaution with a possibly life-changing amount of money is idiotic.

I saw a peice on Prime Time about a Town Treasurer that got scammed out of the towns money on one of these. Thought he was going to save the town.

Ranks up there as one of the top stupidist people ever...

Should we feel bad for the person that sticks a knife into a running toaster and gets burned too?

Stupidity and negligence are far too widely accepted in our society.

Hey Bill , be sure to send your SS number too cause they obviously need it and just forgot to ask for it.

I like the one from somewhere like Zimbabwe that says they have stolen 15 Million from the old revolutionary regime and need to wire it out of the country to a bank account of someone they can trust. Out of all the people in the world they just happen to pick you because all the way to Zimbabwe your reputation as an honest man is well known. Just send them $10,000 and all your bank info and they will send the $10,000 back to you to test that the bank account and Swift Number etc are all correct. When you inform them that you successfully got the $10,000 back , they will send the $15 million to your account and you can keep half of it and give them the other half when they arrive in the USA.

I mean who wouldn't go for that deal! :)
