Something definitely needs to be done. HC should be available and affordable for all that want it, but the current Government proposal is absolutley frightening.

I'm not one of the two. Why vote at all? Reform has been needed FROM THE BEGINNING. And it has, incrementally, been happening all along. And after this present, massive, (more than) "reform" occurs, it will need even more. Until you reach that impossible plateau of perfection, reform will ALWAYS be "needed", especially if it gets votes. Is it possible that third party pay for your health care needs, other than catastrophic insurance, is a flawed idea, and that constantly "reforming" a flaw, rather than getting rid of it, is piling stupid on stupid? My vote is that this poll is not only begging the question, it is missing the point.

Not me either. All I ask for is cost cutting first with Tort Reform and
allowing interstate insurance competition. Then prop up the current
programs for the truly needy.

health care should be reformed, TORT is a huge deal, and I dont see too many people talking about it. But I dont want people who havent paid into the system getting it, chronic welfare cases that have 6 kids and all have a different version of ADHD. Thats just wrong, and it spits in the faces of those of us that have worked at a job we dont like just to have a decent life.

Det is right, I abstained because simply presenting the poll as reform or no reform is rediculous(no disrespect intended Rob)...noone has suggested anywhere that improvements "reform" should not be made in some form and that the status quo is completely acceptable....what constitutes "reform" IS the argument and the proposals swing wildly depending on the interested parties...you could run this poll on any subject and I'm guessing you'll get a majority voting "reform" for what ever it might be because there's always room for improvement in anything...education, healthcare, your car repair guy, IRS, Utility companies, local/state government and their services, ATM fees...your sex life? :rotf2:
