Hey guys im new to the forum, and only been striper fishing for a year (freshwater guy when i lived in ct). i was wondering if anyone is catching any in neponset river or anywhere in the quincy area. I had such a great season and now i feel like it just dropped off. Im newly addicted to striper fishing, and not catching any for 2 weeks is killing me. I do not have a boat, i only have 3 surfcasters. any advice would be great! thanks guys!

The area I am familiar with, is the mouth of the river, but pickings are slim in that area right now. If some good bait moves in like last year, that will change.
You can walk out from the last parking lot at Marina bay to the edge of the old landing strip and fish good water on the corner (facing Umass) or the side facing the gas tank. Back in the day it was a hot spot. Low tide is useless there (mud flats show).
Fish when there is water.

Good Luck.....

Come Fall, I see Blue Fish and Bass Blitz's taking place from UMass to between the tank and that little spit that Van wrote about continuing up the river towards the park. I put my Kayak in at the Savin Hill Bridge and work my way up river or around Marina Bay. Also try the little bridge down the end of Wollaston Blvd, works for me. Good Luck.
