I just read from the RISAA list the Steve Insana past away on Saturday.
Steve worked tirelessly in protecting Buckeye Brook, a small Watershed area in Warwick, connected to Narragansett Bay. He was a founder and past president of the Buckeye Brook Coalition organization. He was always chasing, testing, and advocating for our local herring. If you went to a meeting in Rhode Island related to somehow protecting herring, he was at least there and probably speaking.
Steve was a great guy, one we could all look up to and thank, for his passions and his heart.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Steve's family.
