How many of you fish in Conn. I see a bill just passed the house that would raise the marine fishing license to $30 for residents and $60 for non-residents. If your from a New England state or NY and your state allows Conn residents to purchase licenses at resident price Conn will do the same.

Mean while the politicians are making big money and could care less since it does not affect any of them,,,,

Wow - ink wasn't even dry on the first couple months of Round One.

Hey State of CT - Eff You. I may have done so before, I am not now if this turns out the way it is sounding.

Pretty ridiculous…

I think nearly every outdoor license fee is doubling with the exception of the new salt water fishing license which tripled about a month after it was pushed through at $10… I hear they are also doubling the entrance fees for state parks.

There is no good fishing in Ct anyway!!! Not high on my list of "Dream" spots I want to fish so......raise away and alienate anyone who previously may have wanted to come to "Sunny CT" to spend their hard earned dough to fish and maybe stay at a hotel or Inn and maybe eat a few meals!!!!!:buds:

Governor Rell is supposed to line item veto certain parts of the bill.....with enuf bitchin from the Ct resident sportsmen, we may nix the increase. If you live in Ct, time to put up or shut up. Call Jodie Rell

Can someone please record this in stone so that future gullible fishermen don't think that the first fee or regulation will be the last? I thought it would be at least 2 years before they raised prices. I guess that's enough now to get it through.

Don't worry, it will be different in MA and RI; the price won't go up and all the money will go to the fishery.

This is what's going to happen with every state that has or will have a SW license. Once it's in.........it will go up and up and up and....... :fury:

Not just SW, all sport licenses are going up.

This is the cowardice of modern government, tax the minorities that cannot harm your re-election to office.

The Republic is dead, long live mob rule democracy of the elite, enabled by the ignorant and the passive!

In New England of all places. Who'd a thunk it. Birthplace of the revolution and all that. May be time for another one.
