View Full Version : Help!- Eels on South Shore or Even North Shore Area
I need some eels badly and fast. My usual stop is hurting for size. I even called M&D's but didn't get an answer. I imagine they are closing earlier as we get further along into the season. Hoping for at least 3 dozen but I guess I'll take what I can get. If anyone can point me in the right direction it would be appreciated. PM's are fine.
Help! :wall:

Found out I have angler229 to blame. He's been buying up all my eels. :nailem: LOL
I got a dozen that will hopefully be usable for tonight. Have not checked to see what the wind looks like yet.

Treachery is everywhere....:behead:
Last week I went into my usual eel supplier and he informed me a gent had just left with 40 large eels, leaving me with only a few tiny ones. :crying: When I inquired as to whether the perp had been in there before, the shop owner told me the guy didn't own a fishing rod and had purchased the eels for a big fish dinner he was preparing...
Upon hearing this I gave him a description of Numbskull, but to no avail, it wasn't him...:wall:

numbskull 09-16-2009, 01:10 PM Save the eels, kill a tree.
numbskull 09-16-2009, 01:14 PM Speaking of eels, here is an incorrigible eel murderer popping a hernia because he tried a plug (actually a teaser but it's all good). Either that or he is about to do the unspeakable with that animal.

nightfighter 09-16-2009, 05:40 PM Boat Shop in Marblehead has them. Not huge, but decent size. Is everyone selling them by the pound? I haven't bought any this year, so didn't know that was how they were sold by the suppliers to the shops now. Local shop owner said the big eels could cost 8 bucks a piece!!! Wow....
mikecc 09-16-2009, 08:49 PM Right now their just 14". New supply Thursday.
