FOXBORO, Mass. (AP) -- Randy Moss (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/nfl/players/4262) and Wes Welker (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/nfl/players/7027) have formed a potent 1-2 punch for the New England Patriots (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/nfl/teams/patriots) the past two seasons. But injuries to both could leave the Pats punchless Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/nfl/teams/falcons).
Welker and Moss were listed as questionable after they missed practice Friday.
Welker had limited participation in Thursday's practice and was present for the start of practice Friday for stretching and kickoff return drills. He didn't take part in team drills. Welker missed last Sunday's 16-9 loss to the Jets with a right knee injury and is expected to be a game-time decision.
Welker had 12 catches for 93 yards in the season-opening win over the Buffalo Bills (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/nfl/teams/bills).
Moss also was present for the start of practice Friday, but didn't participate in team drills due to a back injury. He was added to the Patriots' injury report Friday.
Rookie Julian Edelman (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/nfl/players/9496), a former quarterback at Kent State, filled in for Welker and caught eight balls for 98 yards against the Jets, but he is also listed as questionable with an ankle injury.
Also questionable for Sunday's game are tight end Chris Baker (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/nfl/players/9535), cornerback Darius Butler (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/nfl/players/9305), center Dan Connolly (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/nfl/players/7482), safety Brandon Meriweather (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/nfl/players/8278), defensive lineman Myron Pryor (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/nfl/players/9471), wide receiver Matthew Slater (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/nfl/players/8930), defensive back Shawn Springs (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/nfl/players/3952) and cornerback Terrence Wheatley (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/nfl/players/8839). All saw limited participation in practice Friday.

The problem is not the receivers.....its the defense and the offensive line! remember the season before the Pats got Moss and Welker???? Who did they have as receivers???? Bunch of no names and Brady was hitting all of them! As long as Brady has time in the pocket he will hit whoever he needs to hit.....but he needs time!!!

Is that the same shoulder injury that had Brady listed as "questionable" for 4 of the last 5 seasons (the one exception being last year when he was on IR)? :rotf2:
