After getting skunked on Sat afternoon on the beach I had to fly back over today and said F work for the afternoon and stopped by the bait shop and picked up some squid and hit the beach again. I was rewarded by this little guy who was just a nose under 28". I know it's not much but I haven't caught sheet this year and this guy was fun to wrestle through the big waves on ACK. I know it's not Cutty or Block but there's something about that place that I love. I had 3 hours of fishing to myself with NO ONE else there on an absolutely gorgeous day. I needed this bad after all the crap that has been going on in my life recently. Oh yea and a freakin giant seal poked his head up about 10 yards off the beach as i was reeling it in. Lucky to get it to shore. What a day.

sometimes its more about what a day out alone fishing does for you than it is about catching a big fish...

Beautiful pics, and sounds like a great day. Fished all day sunday in Maine and couldn't buy a bite.

Nothing like a nice day on or near the water to clear your head and "make you one with the universe".
To coin an old but true adage :"A bad day fishing is still better than a good day at work"
If you can make the time, the fall run is just starting to shape up.
I plan of fishing into Nov. provided we don't get any huricanes, noreasters or freak storms.
