For those volunteering their services toward set-up, I will be at the hall for 5:00. You may want to plan on arriving @ 6:00pm or any time after 5:00 if you would like to be early.

Do we have any volunteers for cleanup?

If so, please let us know who you are so that we can put a list of volunteers together.

Thanks again to all of you who have contributed toward the success of this event!...

I was thinking of bringing some stick-on name tags because with the amount of people attending, I think it will help in putting names with faces.

So far it seems as though we are in very good shape as far as who is bringing what...

Rickbomba did mention that he could use some tongs & stuff for the serving table with the food.

Outside of that, I cannot think of anything else we would need.

Thanks for asking!

Don:)

Van in response to your direction request:

VFW 508997-1707, 109 Middle St. Fairhaven MA

The Holiday Inn is right across the street, 508 997-1281
Hampton Inn is a couple of miles up the road 508 990-8500

For those travelling East on I-195(from RI) take the rt. 18 downtown New Bedford exit. Stay in the right lane, take the third right, FAIRHAVEN, bear left and you will soon cross the infamous New Bedford/Fairhaven bridge. Stay in the right lane, at the traffic light bear right. The VFW is right there on your left.

For those West bound(Cape) you will go over the Acushnet River and take the rt. 18 downtown NewBedford exit(2nd right after the river) Take your third right, Fairhaven, bear left, cross the New Bedford/Fairhaven bridge. Stay in the right lane, at the traffic light bear right. The VFW is right there on your left.

For folks like slip travelling from Middleboro you may want to come in by the "backroads". Take rt. 105 thru Lakeville, stay straight travelling through the waterworks and Quitticas, continue straight thru the 4 way intersection South bound into Acushnet. If you come in from North Ave., Rochester bear left at this intersection(you will have the stop sign). After about 5 mi. you will be in the center of Acushnet and a 4way stop sign. Bear left for about 2 mi., 'till you hit a traffic light. Continue straight until another light. Bear right here and get in the left lane and bear left at the next traffic light which is only a few yards ahead of the last light. The VFW is right on your left.

Hey Guys,
Just wanted to know if anybody wants to volunteer for kp after service; I think I should be ok on the setup end, though. I'm guessing if we had 5 people it would be roughly 15 minutes a piece.
Thanks,
Rick

For Smokey and dave L its about a two hour drive home. They have to be at an ice fishing derby at their sportsmans club the next morning about 5 AM. Just for planning purposes , what is the schedule? Starts at 6PM? Dinner at what time? Whole thing over what time? Any idea yet? Not looking for something iron clad , just an idea of what's planned.

John,

I will just pay you at the door for my 2 tickets

I am bringing a donation of cocahoes & jig headsfor the Raffle

FW & BC are not coming but I am picking up a donation from Bil & Juls Guide Service for the Raffle

Could someone E-mail or Pm me as to what is needed for the
pot luck...my honey will make whatever is needed...entres, salads, deserts, just let me know soon

JohnR
02-13-2003, 01:18 PM
Patrick - so you know 1 ticket for 10 bucks is for the "couple", so unless you are bringing other girlfriends instead of just one, 1 ticket is enough.

If on the otherhand, you are bringing more than one girlfriend thus needing more tickets :D , having each girlfriend bring a sald or a desert would be cool. If only one girlfriend - I think a simple desert would be nice :laughs:

Did you get my e-mail the other day?
