Under appreciated recent movie I just saw again while up w/ a crying baby at 12am was Idiocracy (Mike Judge Movie) about a guy who wakes up in the year 2500 as the smartest man in really degraded society...

A couple of Must See Sc-Fi films are The Day the Earth Stood Still (the original) and Forbidden Planet.
for Cult Films.....Hairspray (Again...The Original) or Blue Velvet (Hands Down Dennis Hopper's best Performance)

If you are going to watch it, I suggest watching the 3rd installment Rise of the Lycans first, then watch 1 and 2.
