To laugh is to risk appearing the fool.

To weep is to risk appearing sentimental.

To reach out to another is to risk involvement.

To share feelings is to risk exposing your true self.

To share your dreams with others is to risk being put down.

To love is to risk not being loved in return.

To hope is to risk despair.

To try is to risk failure.

To live is to risk dying.

But risks must be taken, for the worst decision is to risk nothing.

The person who risks nothing does nothing, has nothing and eventually feels that they are worth nothing.

They may avoid some suffering and sorrow, today.

But, they cannot learn, feel, change, grow, love and be alive.

They have allowed their fears to rob them of their freedom.

Only a person who risks is free.

 Good to read this sort of affirmation now and then.

Amen to that.

You have to fall in order to learn to pick yourself up.
When learning to walk you ALWAYS fall at least once.
A victory earned and learned from past defeat is sweetest.
You can't tell me I can't do something, but rather I learn that I can't do something by trying.
