Thanks for the laughs Paul i just sprayed my screen when reading your reply. EricW 12-03-2009, 05:55 PM Long story, but I got rid of a couple of those that were a little bigger this past summer. I don't do too many of my own lips, but maybe I should have kept one. Ours were rusty and stuck but could have been freed up. After seeing the excitement over it I am kicking myself. Only have so much space though....and they were quite heavy. If I come accross any more, maybe I wil keep one..... Congrats on the score! eastendlu 12-03-2009, 07:55 PM Long story, but I got rid of a couple of those that were a little bigger this past summer. Next time PM me if you are going to throw anything made of metal away.:uhuh: Raven 12-04-2009, 02:20 PM start a "wish list" Paul EricW 12-04-2009, 03:51 PM One mans garbage is another mans treasure. That is too often my problem. I am usually on the receiving end of the "treasure". Have accumulated some great stuff though.... I hate to see something good thrown away. On the bright side they weren't thrown out, we did sell those for a little something. EricW 04-03-2010, 09:13 PM Well I came across another bending brake. This one I am going to keep. It is a light one, but works really good for metal lips. I just bent a couple I am using for some 4" goo goo swimmers I've been meaning to finish for quite some time. With this nice weather, I might just get some done soon. I think it originally might have come from micromark or some other tool place. eastendlu 04-04-2010, 09:39 AM Nice score!!! Makes it a joy to bend lips gets them perfect every time i am such a tool collector can't have enough.:smash: Charleston 04-04-2010, 09:41 AM Yo Prof; You should make a few small ones just for lips. Your fellow plug builders will luv ya for it. :gh: ProfessorM 04-05-2010, 07:33 AM lol Bill. We have beauty of a small finger brake at work so no need for me to make one, yet. I just want to get these plugs done as the boat's are starin at me in the yard now.The one Eric got looks home made. numbskull 04-05-2010, 08:19 AM lThe one Eric got looks home made. Chinese. I have one also. Found it in my parents cellar. Welded aluminum. EricW 04-06-2010, 09:24 PM I am pretty sure mine came from the micro mark catalog. This stuff I have been going through is from a family member who had tons of tools. It isn't heavy duty, but I got a bunch of flat lips from Mike at CCT and have been bending them with it. Works like a charm. The flat plate has some type of edge that makes a real nice bend in the lip. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
