Roccus Writing (http://www.jackgartside.com/wordpress/) saltfly 12-08-2009, 08:47 AM That's it Karl. I think he did that like 15 years ago. Good memory of him. Caught many a fish when I first started saltwater flyfishing with a Gartside Gurgler. Great fly.I went down into the Man-Cave archives and pulled the 1996 Jan/Feb issue of Flyfishing in Saltwaters.Jack and Gerald are on the cover with the article about camping and fishing on the "Harbor Is." with Cathy and Barry Beck.Camping on the harbor islands[early 80s] was a blast and the fishing was super. The only problem out there was the friggin rats. They were the size of teenage raccoons. They'd eat through the side of your cooler overnight. The only cooler to bring was the Coleman one made out of steel.AHHHHH the memories:uhuh: tynan19 12-08-2009, 10:30 AM May he rest in Peace! BillyBlanks 12-25-2009, 04:36 PM What a bummer. Jack was a great guy. I met him at a fly fishing show years ago and we kept in touch. He was a big part of me getting into fly fishing.
