Do you actually say Merry Christmas to someone you know doesn't celebrate Christmas?

To many people are folding under this whole issue! If you want to do or say something that was okay back when, then say it! Who put it into law? You know politicians are followers and not leaders! Vote for term limits! Things would change.--IMO---LOUIE

Did you see the news this morning about the Kid that drew a picture of jesus on the cross in school....he was sent home and told he wasn't allowed back until he completed a Psychological Evaluation. :wall: Rediculous

Sounds like there is more to the story, and my guess is, is it is SOP if the kid did say something like that he drew himself, dead on a cross... I'm not pro-PC, but if the kid had gone home and offed himself or tried to hurt himself.... overly cautious, maybe, but always more to the story....

The kid had a psyche evaluation done and they found him to be "normal in every way".
Now the school is backpedalling, saying that that wasn't the picture that he drew in class, and that they didn't ask the kids to draw what was reported.

This is the same school that made a 6 yr. old walk home from school when his parents were late picking him up after school.

I smell a nice lawsuit and maybe an investigation of the school's charter. Schools like that have no place in our society.

I heard someone mention yesterday that Political Correctness has done more to bolster racism and prejudice than anything else in the past 20 years.
Think about it: We can't write, say, think or do things regarding "certain" views, yet we are FORCED to aknowledge those that are contrary to our personal beliefs.

How is the school backpedaling? Did you read the article? What their basically saying is that the father is lying (as he must have given the newspaper a different picture one from what the kid drew). In addition, they're also saying that they never asked the kids to draw anything associated with any religious holiday.

I think what has done more to bolster racism and prejudice is the internet where racists can now gather behind their computer screens and post anything they want (but use code words) and the election of Obama.
