After wacthing FishEye's footage in panama it got me thinkin:wall::hs:

A few years ago I recorded an ESPN fishing show. The show was shot in Africa and they where fishin for tiger fish. I remember them fishin around hipos and crocodiles(sick scenery), the tigers where blowing up on big torpedo's.

If you could get away this time of year and fish any where for one fish (other then stripa's of course) what would that fish be??

I'm with John, last year I got tarpon, next I'd love to tangle with those roosterfish from shore. Although those cubera snappers look like quite the challenge too.

Australia.

Watch for Jose Wahebe(sp?) the Australian show he recently did.

But Roosters and those trash can Groupers would work.....
Did anyone see the fishing show where the guy is strapped in the fighting chair on the bow, mate says "you ready" then throws over a huge chunk of bait to the grouper? They were fishing in amongst old pileings just off the shore catching HUUUGE groupers.
I think I need to make a rod for each one of these instances. Not that i'm going I just need more rods.

I got this one,

13 foot surf Rods

4-8oz snagging trebles

school of 2-4 pound mullet

100-200 pound Tarpon

the story is that those who hook up and land the big ones have to fight the tarpons over 1/2 mile down the beach

yeah, that's the ticket

Lets get a winter getaway for next year, or the year after planned. Someplace for roosters, taje the wives, sunny and warm..... We could probably get a group rate. How about for the winter of 2004-2005.

A deck-hand on "Fish-On!"

I'll watch the ladies catch the fish and I'll help them with that pesky rod belt the seem to have so much trouble with each show.

Lets get THAT as a raffle item next year!

After today, man I think I'd be happy fishing for sunnies in Florida right about now. I've always wanted to tackle a big tarpon, but the roosters look intense, bring on the warmth.

Im game for anything that will fight me till one of gives up . That toothy tiger Tony posted would work just right , roosters , tarpon are also good choices . Maybe a trip to Canada for some large pike/muskie fishing as a fly in trip on one of them remote lakes .

A few years back, I was into a mass of bluefish at the B-bouy.

We were catching em all day -DOWN DEEP, all of a sudden about 20-30 feet from the boat, a bunch of em' exploded the top and came out of the water.

No questions, tuna were chasing them.
Quite a sight.

NOW THEY KNOW HOW A POGIE FEELS !!!!!:smash:
