View Full Version : COP (out) 15 and the Global Warming Lies

The fall out from the hacking of emails belonging to senior scientists and proponents of global warming is starting to come to a head. Clearly these people have tried to suppress any and all opposing views to their own by manipulating, hiding, and even "losing" data. By threatening the careers of scientists with whom they disagree. By arguing against peer review in scientific journals.

The cat is out of the bag that the vast amount of money to be directed toward global warming has brought out the worst in people who are more than willing to prey upon the "apocalyptic fears" of the general population to further their status and enrich themselves.

This wall street journal article is a "Must Read."

If for some reason you can't make it to Avatar this weekend and you have some time to kill, maybe you want to watch this hour long production on the Ultimate Global Conspiracy Theory?
Fact or fiction?

Like all good fiction, it is sprinkled with many facts, stretches, and make believe. It does have some good nutritional advice at the end.

Sure, except we will throw trillions at unknowns.
Remember the Ozone hole and how we had to get rid of freon to save the planet. Well it turns out that the gas we used to replace freon, is now one of the major contributers to Global Warming.
Same cast different movie. :smash:

You're right. We should go the China route - ignore environmental concerns, have increasing levels of cancer due to pollution, dump wherever is convenient, add lead to all our paints and pump our livestock full of artificial proteins.

Yeah, your way is definitely better.

The only thing most of these countries want is our money.
There is no way we will ever track that money, we can't even track
it in our own country.

This wall street journal article is a "Must Read."
Why?

The author obviously has a bone to pick with the people named in the email story, and is known to have been funded in the past by the energy industry.

The AP just did a review of every single email in this controversy, and concluded there wasn't much scientific substance to the claims aside that Mann was a bit of a prick.

I've read a lot about this issue, and to think a few people could strong arm the science of thousands of experts globally sure takes more faith than even a blind Al Gore disciple.

We can file this under "nothing new".

So the plan is to borrow 3,4, pick a number any number, billion dollars from China..... so we can give them the money back to fight pollution?

We don't have the EFFIN money JD, This isn't that hard.

Is it?

So climate change can't be a valid issue because we don't have any money?

Now that's some science.

If the cure is throw money at it, then we are fresh out of the proper drug.

And the doctors (scientist) who are prescibing the medicine reap from the money spent.

We may need a Earth Health Care Bill while we are at it.

Here's the plan from Copenhagen....
The agreements will give billions of dollars in climate aid to poor nations, but they do not require the world's major polluters to make deeper cuts in their greenhouse gas emissions.

Is it about money or science?

Al Gore is not so blind to the fact he will make some big bucks from all this stuff.

He may make enough money out of it to be able give his Mother in Law human
pharmaceuticals, rather than those veterinary drugs she was taking during
the last HC debates because she couldn't afford them. :rotflmao:

May have to cut back a little on his jet travel though. :)
