I'm glad you were'nt refering to a cheese wheel shape apendage:rotf2: Nebe 12-22-2009, 08:25 PM take careful note of the weight. Al McReynolds fish was 78lbs 8 ounces ;) Nebe 12-22-2009, 08:33 PM :uhuh: ecduzitgood 12-22-2009, 08:34 PM Had to be netted or caught on line over 130lbs. I'm not sure I think 80lb. test is the highest for stripers although if you caught one fishing 130lb. while tuna fishing it might be an all tackle??? I'm not sure; thats why I won't fish any line that test above 80lb. just in case I get the chance to land a fish above 79lbs....I can still dream can't I ? Nebe 12-22-2009, 08:45 PM it was netted and brought into Fulton Market... a commercial fish.. Nebe 12-22-2009, 08:50 PM Another slammer that has never seen the internet. (freshly scanned) :) MarshCappa 12-22-2009, 10:45 PM That first one looks like a racer too me. The tail isn't even in the picture so someone could be easily pulling down on the scale!:rotf2::rotf2::rotf2: Seriously though, love the pics. I knew his brother Nate from the Cape. Pretty sure the fish was net caught. RIROCKHOUND 12-23-2009, 08:42 AM That first one looks like a racer too me. A racer, seriously? the angle on the fish is deceiving, but that fish is clearly not a racer by any means! Slipknot 12-23-2009, 08:48 AM pretty sure marshcappa was joking ahh the internet, where people read it how they see it. I guess instead of just saying "seriously", he should have added a few of these ;);););) nice pics Nebe, ya 83 pounds is no slouch JohnR 12-23-2009, 09:29 AM I had one a bout 5 pounds heavier that I got on a noodle rod. I released the fish though. Seriously :devil2: Nice photos - need more  MarshCappa 12-23-2009, 10:29 AM Yea guys, I was totally joking about calling it a racer. That is one serious fish. Raven 12-23-2009, 11:02 AM and here i thought EBEN had seen SANTA ..... Nebe 12-23-2009, 11:27 AM Yep, pretty sure that's Gus Piazza. I knew his brother Nate from the Cape. Pretty sure the fish was net caught. Yes it it is.... Gus found the fish in a tote at Fulton Market and sold it to Shaefermeyer Brewing Co and it was mounted... Back when then the Shaefermeyer tournament was going on..... Fish is 100% real. Nebe 12-23-2009, 11:34 AM I had one a bout 5 pounds heavier that I got on a noodle rod. I released the fish though. Seriously :devil2: Nice photos - need more  Tonight... :jump1: slow eddie 12-23-2009, 02:36 PM by the way nebe, we all think you have girth. Nebe 12-23-2009, 03:12 PM by the way nebe, we all think you have girth. oh you didn't. :) Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device Mr. Sandman 12-23-2009, 04:32 PM I have to question the first photo as well...the fish is leaning on something and his hand is on it. It doesn't look like a 80 to me. It is a big fish, no question but it looks odd in that photo. BTW, when was that taken? I saw a 92 once. Really! It was netted down south and mounted and shown at a show a few years ago. I can only dream about what that must be like on a R&R. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
