View Full Version : Bring on SABBIT....
The Dad Fisherman 12-30-2009, 06:37 PM Just putting the finishing touches on the new Ice Sled......I'm ready to Rock.
Everything I need for a day on the Ice...Cooler and Propane stove on the back, Minnow Bucket on the front.
The Dad Fisherman 12-30-2009, 06:39 PM Got all the essentials...Rods Store on the cover, and the tackle is in a removable tray. Under the tray os tip-up storage....and in case I need to do some paper work....a little something on the side...that was my son's donation.
The Dad Fisherman 12-30-2009, 06:41 PM a shot with the tray removed and all the tip-ups, and a compartment for my spud bar. and a shot from the front. Got a couple of small things to do to it but its good to go...

RickBomba 12-31-2009, 06:50 AM Wow Kev,
I should really start organizing better. Bring on the SABBIT!
InTheHole 12-31-2009, 10:01 AM Great job, That's an awesome idea to have the jigging rod holders in the lid, can't tell you how many of them I have snapped over the years just carrying them around in a 5 gal pail or laying them in the sled.
WOW....
Beats my old red plastic sled and milk cases.
vineyardblues 12-31-2009, 10:57 AM I made almost the same one years ago from a article in the fisherman mag. :)
Mine has a hinge on the back with a inlay pic of a bass,it also has a 1/2 moon bracket to hold the auger on top.
The only problem is that you need to 2 people and a truck to move it!
Nice job on yours
VB
The Dad Fisherman 12-31-2009, 04:22 PM it also has a 1/2 moon bracket to hold the auger on top.
Yep thats one of the tweaks I need to do...want to be able to mount the auger on top too...

Give me a buzz during the week...gonna try and get out next weekend for the maiden voyage.
Don't forget to get a license :hee:
Maloney 01-03-2010, 05:37 PM cool set-up
WESTPORTMAFIA 01-03-2010, 09:01 PM We finally finished ours today. After a few tweaks it's good to go. It's pretty large but tows without effort. The problem we had was in deep snow but with some Portuguese engineering we fixed the problem and she pulled nice in 8 inches. I'll get some pic's posted after we give her a camo paint job. The camo paint job will ensure that nobody will see where we are fishing.
WESTPORTMAFIA 01-03-2010, 09:20 PM We are probably going to head to Quaboag Pond around mid week for some pike. If anyone wants to head up shoot me a pm. Probably can't get there until around 10am but we will fish the full day.
