wonder what bb has in mind...hope they play to win and maintain some type of momentum. i can see resting guys who are really hurting- but i think the starting team needs positve reps.....whatcha think?

I think Indy will be so out of sync that they will be down by the half and sit out the 2nd half!! And lose!:uhuh:

This is one of those games.Would love to see the Pats win but they are getting very healthy again and the last thing I want to see is some type of stupid injury to a key player.

I still predict a win regardless.27-17.

I'm gonna give the nod to Houston on this one...they are playing for a possible play-off spot. Belickek won't rest 'em but he sure won't put them in Harms way either.

and if Houston Wins and either the jets or ravens lose....they get Houston at home next week in the 1st round. They'll make up for it :hihi:

In a game situation, players have to go all out 100% or sit! When trying to slack off during play is when (freak) injuries are most likely to occur.

Go for the win and all out play! Give subs some additional time but only after securing the game as a W.

Pats lose this game. Sitting the starters in the second half. This would be a tough game to win anyway. Houston at home with playoff implications, and their defense is pretty decent. Lets not forget the Pats are 2-5 on the road. This is a tough game all around for them.

I say get some reps in, stay healthy, then pull the starters and let the Subs fight for spots on next years team.
Subs can play hard when jobs are on the line.
I'm looking forward to Jets/Bengals tonight. Can't believe i'll be rooting for ocho the christmas donkey.

Brady 3 broken ribs? For several weeks? Which game would he have taken a bad enough hit to break ribs?

If Welker is hurt this season is over!

He's hurt. All you had to do is see his face just now.

I'd take a loss anytime before seeing him get hurt.

Best receiver in the game could possibly done.

According to the Boston Globe, Casserly said Brady has three broken ribs. The injuries were believed to have occurred in Week Thirteen against the Dolphins.

:( another blown 4th quarter lead on the road against a good QB:smash:

Welker most likely gone = total bummer

looking like it will be the Ravens in Foxboro for the second time this season

Fred Taylor looked good other than getting hit as he took the ball on the 1 and fumbling.

Just when I thought the Pats were peaking at the right time, Welker gets hurt in a meaningless game :(

We might be without him for next season too if its an ACL.:fury:

Yeah, that looked ugly. I'm just hoping we'll see him play to his normal level next season.

That way his knee flexed didn't look like the sort of thing that heels itself.

The argument can be made that Matt Schaub should be in the pro bowl instead of Brady.

pro bowl selections are based as much as reputation as this years performance- although i think brady edges him out with more w's :).

ESPN is reporting that Welker has a torn ACL and MCL--same injury that Brady had last year.

Welker's game depends on quick cuts, slashes and making guys miss--he may never be the same player :(

let's hope espn is wrong

but judging by the reaction of Wes on the sidelines, it sure doesn't look promising :(

Edleman will fill in nicely I feel. Not the same as Wes but pretty darn good and considering he is just getting over a busted arm. That's life in the fast lane.

You want irony?

Who was the player that Welker tried to juke when he caught his cleat?

Answer--the same guy that wrecked Brady's knee--Pollard.

Meanwhile, watch the Texas-Alabam BCS championship game. There's a kid on the Texas team named Shipley who's a virtual clone of Welker, and maybe even with better size. He isn't really first round material, so you never know where you might have a shot at drafting him ;)

Playing sports I've had both ACL and MCL torn in my left knee (But not at the same time) and the ACL in my right knee. Either will change Welker's career , Both may end his career. What a shame . Wosrt way to end the best season of his lifetime.

Edleman looks good , the Pats will score some points in the playoffs but the D is swiss cheese. I cannot believe they lost by 7 after being up by 14. There are some systematic reason why they are blowing 4th quarter leads all the time. I would look at the defensive set they use for prevent rather than the players. They got to keep the linemen in to pressure the opposing QB , they can't drop back to cover the receivers and give the good QB's all day to pick them apart.

Anyway , where ever the playoffs go , I thought it was a good year for the fans. Every game hotly contested and every game exciting for the fans. In a way , it was a better team to watch than the 2007 bunch that just blew everybody away.

Here's the ESPN report, citing "a source close to the situation", as well as a video clip of BB doing his usual Sgt. Schultz act when it comes to detailing an injury ;)

Maybe Polian and the Colts coach had the right idea by sitting guys and tanking the last 2 games.
Imagine if Manning played in the games a blows out a knee !!!
