The thought of Brown winning terrifies the Democrats.

Larry, it's more self servng for Obama than anything else. He wants that Senate vote for his health care bill to pass. If the Dems lose that seat in the Senate, he won't have the vote that seals the deal and he misses out on the only big accomplishment he can claim after more than a year in office. It's not as much about Coakley as it is about Obama himself.

lunch break... hit PO.. box stuffed with high dollar glossy venom from Coakley on Brown...
(much like her mud commercials... whoever is running her ad campaign is doing a poor job... all you see is good looking photos of Brown, and his name over and over... never a mention of her in any way...)

so...they all go into the PO trash...along with everyone elses from the looks of the overstuffed trash barrel in the lobby..

get home...feed the dog...answering machine is bleeping... filled up with crap from Coakley.. sounds like she is running against a child murderer type crap.... One tho stood out... Gee.. it wasn't from her.. It was Brown's daughter, talking very nicely, and not slinging mud...
kinda like her Dad....

was a real nice break from all the crap that was thrown at me from the Coakley camp....

gonna go walk the dog now...and hope Tuesday gets here quick!

Health Bill Can Pass Senate With 51 Votes Van Hollen Says

By Jonathan D. Salant

Jan. 16 (Bloomberg) -- Even if Democrats lose the Jan. 19 special election to pick a new Massachusetts senator, Congress may still pass a health-care overhaul by using a process called reconciliation, a top House Democrat said.

That procedure requires 51 votes rather than the 60 needed to prevent Republicans from blocking votes on President Barack Obama’s top legislative priorities. That supermajority is at risk as the Massachusetts race has tightened.

“Even before Massachusetts and that race was on the radar screen, we prepared for the process of using reconciliation,” said Chris Van Hollen of Maryland, chairman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.

“Getting health-care reform passed is important,” Van Hollen said in an interview on Bloomberg Television’s “Political Capital with Al Hunt,” airing this weekend. “Reconciliation is an option.”

Obama stumping for Coakley helps further his HC agenda. Her winning is the best thing for him right now.

The fact that he has to come here at all to give her a boost two days before an election is a disaster for him. Normally, only the hardcore Democratic base would show up at the polls for a special election. Here, in the bluest state in the union, he has to ride in to the rescue at 5 to midnight to salvage a Senate seat that's been Democratic since before I was born. That's a major blow right there.

And if she loses, it's three times as bad.

If Brown doesn't win the damage will be done by then. So much for transparency.

I wonder how many pages this abortion (Obamacare) is now?

I can do without either canidate but itwould be foolish for Obama not to get involved considering the HCR impact if she doesn't get elected. Funny to see the complaints about the Coakley messages. Brown filled my v-mail plenty too. Between the two and all the polling calls i should have just turned my phone off today.

The Curt Schilling message made me spew Raven!!!!!!

IF Brown wins, I think this will be the turning point for conservatism. I find it ironic that kennedy's seat will be the one to kill this! It will be a thing of beauty and the beginning of the downfall for Obama. He stumped for Corzine (NJ) and someone else recently and they both crashed and burned.

I have gotten 10 (count-em 10!) calls about voting on Tue. I never get ANY calls. I'll be there baby.
