I must say does anyone hunt for them or am i just a wierdo? I have such a blast hunting for them, hours of fun stalking them trying to get shots off on them when they stop for a second. Any one else

I also enjoy it. They seem like they would be so easy given all the ones you see around - until you find some real wild ones...They are tricky little guys and their pelts are tougher than you would think.

And intruducing my 13 yr old to it this week. Took em 3x`s but Decoy shy, rain, wind and ice mess it all up, took shots but couldn`t close the deal. But he is ready for next wkend.
Squrrels been on the list, took him a couple time with no site of em!
You know at Mecca, the deer are a f$%ing pain, almost hit 4 the last time I fish there. Go in the woods with the bow, GONE!

Forgot to mention: we hunted Fox squirrels found in the mid-west. They are about 2X the size of the local gray's.

Giada's Weekend Getaways on the Food Network had her going to Appalachia to squirrel hunt. Then she went to the dump to shoot some rats and look for some treasures, and after that, she drove around picking through recycling bins for cans to trade in for beer money. Fun!

In the cooking segment, they showed her back in Cali preparing a luncheon for her rail-thin Yoga-biotch friends. She made a delightful Sauteed Squirrel in Almond Sauce with a hint of nutmeg and acorn. Boy, you should have seen the faces of those vegan Malibu honeys when they were told they ate free-range rodents.
