Looking for something pretty good but that won't break the bank. Going to be tossing light plugs and jigs.

Also, open to recommendations if nobody is looking to sell.

What weight plugs and how long a rod are you looking for

Bass pro shops had em for under 100. We've taken some big fish (AJ's north of 50) on the 12-20 model. Penn made some International models.

for travel, Tsunami makes a 3pc surf rod I've used to shark fish and such. Caught a 20+ Mutton and a ~75lb Lemon shark on it with no issues. From the beach/dock

I bought a 7ft 20lb Albright last year which did well with some Jacks to 15lbs or so, and lost a screamer (big cuda or maybe something else torpedo shaped) to popped braid.

But for light weight, easy to travel/pack and good value, go w/ the BPS 7ft 12lb spin models, and pack yellow bucktails if traveling south. everything eats small yellow bucktails.

won't be throwing anything over an ounce. small jigs and maybe some skitterwalk type of plugs.

:smash: Travel Fishing Pole Rod is a good kind of rod.
Great for hard to fish areas, for the lakes, streams, jetties, etc. And Compact design Fishing Pole Rod has exclusively high performance.
