A few years ago when the 24 Silverhalk came out I was told that they had bought the old hull design of the classic 23 Seacraft. Is this true? I have people saying it is and people saying it's not.

you can copy any boat hull that you want. you only have to make 3 changes in that hull to call it your own. .............24's the same hull as the 23....nice boat.

Thanks for the response and confirming what I thought. The Jack*ss saleman at the Boston boat show for Silverhalk heard my talking to a friend about the boat and said I was 100% wrong and that it's a totally different design. He was very rude about it as well. This guy was so much of an ass, that I had to walk away. I do agree that they are sweet boats and would probably take one over a Seacraft because they have a nice straight inboard with a Yanmar diesel option.

There was one of the silverhawk builders at THT saying that it was a design they put 900 hours into and contrary to popular belief, wasn't a "splash" of a 23 SC. BS, looks like a duck, walks like a duck, talks like a duck.... But its a very nice duck :)

I do like the 236 Sailfish too - not as nice but a lot less money... Some of the finnish hardware sucks though

Hey CS - that's the boat in Marion thats been for sale for a year now - started at 14K and now down to 8500, eh?

I have a buddy that has a 24 silverhawk and it is a great boat it has a 300hp I/O
The only thing I and he has seen that this boat has some powerful torque, and he blew the engin coupler the 2nd season when trying to take off fast after a tuna. Got to take off slower thats for sure.
He has had it 4 years now I think, and it has been great!!
Wish I had the $$$$$$$ for one.
