Progressive. Don't know if you can handle 22 minutes of this but it don't get anymore progressive than this in 1968

When talking progressive i go back to Mr. Zappa again. Not for everyone but I truly luv this stuff he wrote. The man was a genius and so misunderstood by many.

Saw this last night. Just a great night under the stars in Lenox. The Ozawa hall has absolutely incredible acoustics for the outdoors folks (as well as the high heeled folks indoors I am sure). I mean, about two bars into the first tune and I was just amazed. I want my living room to be half that good (someday).

Similar vein as the Paul's cut a bit. Anyways Jazz, progressive,... you can decide

interesting group of tunes, based on the responses, you could say progressive is any non-classical, non blues based instrumental rock music?
I think progressive has to have a component of space based, science fiction related - Yes, Crimson, Rush for example.
based on the tunes in the thread you'd have to include the Jeff Beck group's work in here as well.
I need to break out the Yes, havent listened in awhile. I made cds for my kids to fall asleep to and the first song on my sons is Wonderous Stories, he knows the words by heart.

I cant remember the name - but isnt there a punk rock influenced progressive band, long instrumentals? Someone help me out here.
