Musso eely. 7.5", 2.3 oz
Credit to Back Beach, who thinks he saw someone fishing one once on the Race...........but then for all he knows it may have been a jitterbug. This time I think you nailed it, Mike.

BILLC 02-02-2010, 09:57 PM You got skills!!
Tagger 02-03-2010, 04:16 AM really nice George .. Did BB remember a big fish story along with these plugs ?
numbskull 02-03-2010, 07:10 AM Here are the specs. Keep in mind I do not have an original, the info is based on scaling and measuring pictures, and some assumptions on how Musso weighted it based on his other swimmers. I've also not fished this plug. I did test swim the straight version and was impressed (I was skeptical initially because of the low lip).
The straight version goes deep.
Again, this is not gospel.....I have not held an original.....but it all fell together so nicely that I'm pretty sure this is close.
Back Beach 02-03-2010, 07:11 AM You rock George, and beat me to the punch...come to think of it, those were jitterbugs I saw back in the late 80's...not sure what those things are you made, but they're gonna look great in my bag...
Did you wind up using a wadd style body to model them? I'm working on a couple non jointed ones now and they look similar...
:want:
numbskull 02-03-2010, 07:25 AM Big jitterbugs are actually on the to do list (have been for years). Check out the one on Salty's site.
JFigliuolo 02-03-2010, 08:18 AM very nice, as usual George.
ProfessorM 02-03-2010, 09:38 AM I touched them and they are beautifully done. I got a screwed up one, out of the trash. Glad he doesn't have a wood stove like me or it would have been ashes. I hope to make a few, someday. Don't miss them at the get together.
