Get ready.

She's on FOX right now.

The job losses are because of too much government spending.

Name calling by anyone is wrong, but it's OK when Rush does it because it was funny.

Our foreign policy should be "we win, they loose".

This is great stuff.

While I agree Pelosi and the mountain should have a meeting, I find nothing evil in Palin that suggest she should have the same fate. I just think she is dong the Republican party more harm then good. Pelosi on the other hand is destroying the fabric that made America great while continually sticking it up our a$$.

For someone that consistently (and hypocritically) criticizes Obama for the use of a teleprompter, Palin seems to need a prompter of her own for a pre-screened Q&A session:

Ya never know, people will won't vote Democrat in 2012 if economy still sucks.

Because It is very likely that the economy may not turn around until 2013, whoever gets elected next (I assume not Obama) will be in the right place at the right time and be designated a great president

If she gets elected then the citizens of this country will get what they deserve. Decades of mismangement, voter apathy and the acceptance of low standards led us down this road. Last one out turn off the lights.

True in more ways than one, whovere is in office at the present time, gets the credit, or blame for the current situation, wether it is their doing or not...and most voters cannot see past that. Couple that with a tow party system that is lockstep in gridlock, it only gets worse.

If she gets elected then the citizens of this country will get what they deserve. Decades of mismangement, voter apathy and the acceptance of low standards led us down this road. Last one out turn off the lights.

True...but, we are already paying the price for ...Decades of mismangement, voter apathy and the acceptance of low standards....

I can't believe I'm about to say this, I'd consider Hilary over Palin... For Public Office. And I ain't voting for neither....

Yeah....me too... I would walk out most likely with an empty ballot, if that were the choice...or I would force myself to vote for the one with the brain....even if I usually do not agree, at least there is a thought process there...
and there lies the rub... we get so locked into " got to have it all our way"...we cannot compromise, or let the other side have a moment, or an inch... that is a big part of the trouble in congress now.

Jefferson was right... time for another Revolution.

I agree. I'm not a Hillary fan, but as someone who leans a little on the conservative side, I would consider her more in line with my way of thinking than most of the other Dems.

As for Palin, I hope she either goes away (not very likely) or does something so mind blowingly idiotic (much more likely) that she cannot be a viable candidate in 2012. I also don't see what makes her so attractive to some of you guys. I find her looks to be ok for a woman her age, but nothing special.

Okay. Let's put this idiotic argument to rest.

"The picture (taken by Associated Press photographer Alex Brandon) actually shows Obama speaking to reporters in a classroom at the Graham Road Elementary School in Falls Church, Va., on Jan. 19. Obama had spoken to the students themselves earlier, and he did not use a teleprompter then. This photo from the official White House blog shows that clearly."

It doesn't matter. Whatever he say's is complete BS. You need a teleprompter when you don't speak from the heart. Otherwise you can get by with a few scribbles on your palm.:uhuh:

I'm not ignoring the FACT that your hero used a teleprompter in a 6 grade classroom.
He may or may not have been able to keep up with the kids and their tough questions without it.

See now here's the problem... you only pay attention to half of the post.

First off, Obama is no hero of mine but like I've said in the past, you'd have a problem with the way he wipes his ass if there was a news story about it.

Second, the few scribbles in Palin's palm isn't what's pathetic about her. Initially, it's the amusement of her having to write crib notes on her hand like a 8th grader taking a math test. Then there's the fact that she criticizes Obama's use of a teleprompter while she has to reference talking points on her hand like "Economy. Cut Tax. Lift American Spirits."

It's a fine demonstration of how she's being used as a figurehead and has no business no the national stage.

Then there's the pathetic aspect of the Conservatives criticizing Obama's use of a teleprompter. I'm willing to bet that just about every speech Bush made, he used note cards or a teleprompter.

Quite frankly, I think harping on the topic is juvenile. You guys act like there's a wizard behind the curtain giving Obama orders via a prompter. There are far more critical issues to contest than him referencing words from a screen.

JohnnyD
02-08-2010, 04:26 PM

Where was the prompter during his Q&A with the Republican body?

:smash:Agreed.

I came across an interesting quote from one of his spokesmen about that:

Bill Burton, a White House spokesman, replied by e-mail: “Whether one uses note cards or a teleprompter, the American people are still a lot more concerned about the plans relayed than the method of delivery. This is not always true of the media.”

As usual, context is everything here and also blatantly absent.

Obama did use a teleprompter for prepared remarks to a pool of reporters at a school. Obama did not us a teleprompter for a meeting with 6th grade students at the same school. It was just reported as such on the right wing blogs and the sheep, hungry to believe anything to makes Obama look bad eagerly lapped it up.

The point of an interview is to inquire as to what you think. If you need help remembering the basics "energy, budget and tax" then perhaps you're not thinking of a whole hell of a lot.

I render your criticism MOOT :humpty:

proven wrong?....there's plenty of pics and video of him and the teleprompter, you found the pic that they slapped together when they realized how bad the teleprompter in the classroom pic looked ...like when they flew him to Dover in the middle of the night to salute a flag draped coffin to pretend that he cares about the military....the problem Obama has is that when you lie to everyone ....everyday.... all day.... eventually most stop believeing anything that you say, even if you happen to say it quite well.....there will be the straggling supporters that have so much invested emotionally that they'll cling to the message..... but Obama can only make himself look good by making others look bad...just look at his political career and how he got elected on his way to the WH.....he's a first class hack...he HAS to be on the teleprompter day and night because when he's off of it he reverts to what he is...a grossly arrogant Marxist....we need to create a support group for the Obama/ Global Warming die hards that are slowly sinking into depression and oblivion as their world view crumbles...:uhuh:

You have the telepromtee with an iPhone to quickly look up the answer to any question and type it in.
