No doubt, DF....Late March through Mid May I do 4-5 freshwater wading trips per week for mulitple species, then hit the suds mid May. One month from now things will be picking up..

I hear ya. Almost as soon as that ice melts away, I'll be dropping in the kayak for some sweetwater fishing.

oh yeah it will be good, not only for stripers, but because I will have yet another semester of grad school behind me, kind of works out well how school gets out right around when the stripers come back.

The ice is starting to go out of the rivers here in VT. I think the pike will be starting to group up

Johnny - let me know when you do and maybe we can hook up. I have a yak. I've fished Norton res for largemouths, grab some shiners and head out. Its a blast.

Definitely will take you up on that. I've fished Norton Res a few times and never had much success. Aside from the small hole to the north, it's sooooo flat and weeded.

I have a couple local ponds that I know pretty well too.

I currently own a car, but just looked at a used Dakota this morning. I think I'm going to pull the trigger on it, so I'll be freshwater kayaking 3-4 days/week until the spring run starts.
