Slipknot 02-23-2003, 05:16 PM I just came back from the river after testing that darter I showed you:happy:
I can now say that I WILL be making a template of this one before it gets lost:D Who needs maple when AYC works well?
I tested a bunch of other plugs at my area 54 and was very pleased with the outcome. My 6" pikies are gonna be a smash hit. you should see them wiggle/waggle:drool: My dannys swim excellant too.
And that big jointed plug I copied from one of AdamR's plugs, I think I should make more.
I also swam both sizes of the Mr. Wiggly and that large size has EAT ME written all over it. Those plugs are going to be responsible for a lot of fish this season.
It's getting closer:bounce:
Christian 02-23-2003, 05:20 PM i met a guy at a tackle shop today who makes plugs, he was going to test some in the river right near the shop.
i told him to come here.
Slipknot 02-23-2003, 05:21 PM And Bassmaster, those lips I got work even better than that original danny I am making for that other swap:btu: You won't believe how it swims:happy:

fishweewee 02-23-2003, 07:16 PM Doods,
My buddy Hans works for a roofing company here in SW CT. He had some leftover wood from a carpentry job that he was going to burn in his fireplace.
It is mahogany and is ready for the lathe.
Does mahogany work for plugs?
If so, anyone want a couple of plugs worth?

Clammer 02-23-2003, 08:28 PM Yep hit the wrong key 3"
Slipknot 02-23-2003, 09:30 PM mahogany will not work for swimmers, it miay be ok for needles depending on what kind of mahogany it is. You could always use it for poppers and maybe even Dahtahs.
JohnR 02-23-2003, 09:32 PM BM - we'll talk again if you want. We can work something up.
Now I know a lot of people will get peessed on what I am about to say here but BM, you should not be giving away all of your work for free, at least not right now. I know a few of us would be happy to buy some instead of just taking advantage of your being a nice guy and all.
I actually have a couple ideas that I would like to swing by you & slip and a couple of you other plug guys... When the time is right
:soon:
