Roy, I can vouch , best cakes around !!!
Congrats and best of luck with the wedding.
I don't get it. Not a culinary expert by any means but I think their cake sucks. I think the south shore just needs some more bakeries. Plenty of better options north of boston.
Heading to Jersey tomorrow and the Asbury show on Sunday. Thanks god Mike Fixter won't be there. My wallet could not have handled that!
BigFish 03-12-2010, 10:45 PM Not a big fan myself...had them a few times and nothing to write home about IMO.
Opened the Truro cottage Thursday night at dusk, turn on the water, fire up the stove (Fred it's not gonna freeze again!). Clean the cottage. Splitting firewood. Hang the birdfeeders. Going through the plugs I harvested over the winter (Thank all of you - you know who you are!) Cleaning up the fallen branches. Was gonna burn - that's next week. Guy stuff - it's good to be back. Outdoor shower last night, no peepers yet. A few Bally's in front of the roaring fire. Big league spring fever.
Now I'm off to parents in Falmouth to meet Comcast at noon today to upgrade the 73" I got them a few weeks back to HD, and to boil the corned beef tonight. With this weather a good choice.
Swing by M+D's tomorrow AM before heading back to Quincy. A full schedule.
PRBuzz 03-13-2010, 09:41 AM Leaning towards the red velvet right now....Hope its good thats a hard one to get right.
Definitely a good choice. I can vouch for that one, or at least my dog can after eating the whole backside of a cake........he had never eaten any cake before so must say there was something irresistible about it.
Moses 03-13-2010, 10:54 AM Bachelor party today - Mtg in Quincy then down to Foxwoods then???:buds:
Need to be home sometime tomorrow early afternoon as a few buddies are coming over and we're upgrading the hooks, etc on a few plugs. Gonna practice some new rigging/knots too. I hope my head doesn't hurt too bad.:yak5:

we had the strawberry gran marnier cake at our wedding dinner ( not a real wedding cake as we really got married in Jamacia) but none the less...wonderful....you can't go wrong there, happy tasting!
Swimmer 03-13-2010, 01:10 PM Off tuesday and wednesday though. 3 1/2 months and it'll all be off, every freikin day, at least until the fall run is over.
:hidin: 6,000th post.
Okay, It was good...not the best cake i've had, but it will do. We are having are reception in Braintree so it works perfect. The experience was great. My girl doesnt eat cake ( some needs to fit into her wedding dress thing) so I got eat by my self.......First they brought out two big chocolate covered strawberries then brought out like ten diffrent kinds of cake to try.......We ended up, well I ended up picking out 3 that we are going to have...the strawberry grand marnier, black forest, and the cognac truffle torte......we couldn't decide on the cake colors and decorations so we have to go back, plus im going to try a few other cakes they didn't have...As we left they gave us a huge box of pasteries and some big wedding cookies...it was insane...I gained 40 lbs
Foul Hooker 03-13-2010, 09:23 PM Congrats Roy! When is the big day? Cake testing is always fun.. Thought you would get a kick out of our wedding cake fishing - the topper was the bride hookin the groom in the ass :)
