The last few seasons I have been picking up quiality foul weather gear for wearing on the boat. Its seems I fish 50% of the time in the rain. then theres the livewell spillage, ocassional wave, eel slime, etc.
This year I got a sweet gore tex bib from Bass Pro on sale.
Alothough I've been staying mostly dry, my feet are soaked. What do you guys reccomend? I saw a pair of rugged shark deck boots that look ok and werent too expensive. I need something to be dry, non slip and wont mark up the deck.

You better check with Spence about wearing white boots before Memorial Day.

I recommend Crocs. Good traction, padding, quick drying,don't smell, and you can just hose the fish guts right off em.
If boots, I HIGHLY recommend a pair with steel toes to prevent em from getting crushed by cooler or other such heavy objects. I wear lacrosses that work well.

Get the Rugged Shark ! I wear mine all day on my boat. Best pair of boots I've owned ! One thing though, don't order them online unless you have tried on a pair. The sizes run small.

I had a pair of rugged sharks and they were shot after one season... Cracked really bad... The guy cottens last about a season also... Tough to find good quality footwear that doesnt kill the wallet...

I also use white boots, I get them in New Bedford they are the Servils made in USA.

Jim, I have been wearing Gill boat boots. Non-skid sole, not too high and in a lovely shade of blue. Seriously, they are great but I do not remember where I bought them.

I secong the Gill product for spring and fall,got mine at Monahans.In the summer,when it doesn't matter if your wet I wear the crocs.I don't think the traction is all that great,especially if the tread is beat.But they are comfy.

Well, I'm on my 3rd year with no problems. I fish 99% of the time after dark and before dawn so the color wasn't important

Been down this same road like many of you.

The cheap white boots are not that comfortable and they are not non skid. (at least the ones I saw). The last a long time though. I let my kids wear them and hand them down to his bother when they grow out of them. They get mildewed and nasty looking after a while.

The blue gill boots have much better traction on a wet deck but they seem to crack after a year and they feel kind "thin" on bottom. It is what I wear when I need boots but they are not the best. Also, they get hot in the sun.

I have never tried the shark boots but they are next on my list.

When it is rough, I normally wear a fresh pair of topsider deck shoes with sticky bottoms with the mesh top or side and just let my feet get wet. This is the best for me, safety wise. But I agree it is nice to have dry feet.

I got the sharks in navy blue. i wore them around in the rain last week and they were very comfortable. May and June and Oct and Nov in the slop can get pretty cold. Last year it rained all June. I have a pair of water shoes I wear when its warm and they dont slip/mark and are comfortable. I'll let y'all know how the sharks hold up but seem great so far.

I have the same. Works well. No arch support so I be jelling when I am in white.

I have used servus boots for years and no complaints but last year I got a pair of boots made out of lightweight "croc" material from Goose Hummock and absolutely love them. They are cool, lightweight, and dry. Very comfortable.

I'll have to check these out. The padded sole makes standing much easier

I have a dry deck and just wear docksiders on board or go barefoot. :)

For cold weather, I use Muck Boots... Hard to beat.. The higher tops are good for launching and retrieving...

I have a pair of Penn deck boots that are fantastic, highly recommended

Those are awesome! Yeah I typically wear sperry's but when raining or cold I break out the servus deck boots with the non marking soles. I even have a pair of flip flops with white soles for taking the boat to the beach.:buds:
