TheSpecialist 03-20-2010, 07:45 PM I got a price for a new leaning post cushion, My boat is a 19, and the leaning post is like a todd, it is mounted on 2 pedestals therefore storage for a cooler is a no go. I found an Aluminum leaning post with 4 rod holders, footrest, and it allows storage for a 54 qt cooler under. It is 33 " wide, a little smaller than the existing one, and is only about $100 buck more than the new cushion. I am thinking buy the new post so I have the storage for the cooler on my small boat.
What do you guys think? Am I crazy??:smash:

You'll enjoy the new one and the extra space. I need a footrest on mine.
thefishingfreak 03-20-2010, 07:52 PM It's only a hundred bucks. Get two of them
beamie 03-20-2010, 09:09 PM I think it's a no brainer, new post....or the guy doing the cushion a gouging you.
Goose 03-20-2010, 10:09 PM recently a local guy did a pissa job on my pads for a lot less than competitors...shop around or if your in my neck of the woods I'll show ya where...new leaning posts aren't cheap as you know

TheSpecialist 03-22-2010, 08:45 PM The guy is charging me a hair over 300 for a new cushion, this is new foam everything new, and this is what I was thinking of getting instead

BassyiusMaximus 03-23-2010, 01:39 PM I like the ebay one, that is really nice. Just needs a backrest.
TheSpecialist 03-23-2010, 05:28 PM Decision made today when I got the breakdown on the cost of each pad. Apparently the high cost of oil has driven up the price of foam, getting the leaning post. I really don't care for a backrest though.
MrHunters 03-23-2010, 05:55 PM thats a tank of gas in my boat. i agree

Todd is ridiculous with their prices. I have a single leaning post that I bought used from Goose. The cushion had a smal rip that I repaided with heavy duity clear duct tape. Well, after 2 years I do need to replace the cushion. Todd wants $163.00 just for the cushion. The whole post is only $250.
TheSpecialist 04-24-2010, 10:22 PM New leaning post came today. It is sweet. I want to fix the seat so it flips forward, and put a storage bucket under it.
O.D. Mike 04-26-2010, 08:09 PM I bought from the same guy 2 years ago. My leaning post does not have rod holders. It took about a week to ship and had no problems installing it.
Great leaning post for short money!
