I have my 5 yr old nephew staying with me this weekend and i want to take hime to see some fish. I just moved to Mansfield and dont really know the area all that well yet. My nephew has just started to get into fishing and i thought taking him to a fish ladder or hatchery might be fun for both of us. Any one have any suggestions as to anything relativily close by??
Thanks Rich

There is a fish hatchery in North Attleboro, right on the Mansfield line. It has been a while since I've been there but it used to be open until 4pm on Saturdays.
The link below should show you where it is.

If the weather's crappy, there's always Bass Pro in Foxboro. Largemouth, smallmouth, striped bass etc.

I would like to see the hatchery myself and I think my kids would love it. They really like Bass Pro shops. The fish are great to see and the laser rifle shooting range is always a big hit.

Do both! The Hatchery in North Attleboro and and Bass Pro are just 10 minutes away from eachother.

I was at Bass Pro yesterday afternoon.
They have the big tank and a in-floor pool.
The tank has a vast array of fish, the pool has trout only.
The pool was empty though, so either they had a problem with someone throwing something in the water that would effect the fish, or the fish had become ill and were removed.
Either way every fish in the floor pond was gone.
It would be a real shame if the 4-6lb. trout that they had (that we never see being stocked in our waterways) would succumb to some ailment.
