I wouldn't give a squirt of piss for that crap known as Raymarine.

Its sales had been falling, forcing the company to make significant cuts to its labor force.

Call me crazy, but maybe if they made a product that didn't have to be RMA'd every 6 months they'd be ok?

I have had excellent luck with mine and without question they make the best fishfinder hands down. Also their new radar offers features that are really excellect. I know of two comm guys that upgraded last season. One had a Northstarbsystem the other a furuno. IMO. If you get the high end furuno it is the top of the heap, butbyou will need to morgage yor boat to get it. Garmins fish finder is a toy, the chartplotter is nice but does not hold up to the elements.

Once you get to the top end Furuno, you might as well just get a Simrad.

The Raymarine proprietary network crap is a goddamn nightmare.
I've pulled out enough of that junk to never want to go near it again.

Garmin will hopefully kill that.
