As my knees are too beat up to walk as far as I used to, I can still ride. This is my first try at a canal bike. Rock solid and tracks straight, 2 bolts attach to bike for easy on and off.
But it's a little top heavy not too bad though, would like to try side baskets.
Where do you find the nice heavy gauge side saddle deep baskets ? My bike guy does not carry anything like that.

Bob! Cedarville Cycle in Cedarville/Plymouth! Next time you fish the canal run up 3A from Sag and its up on your right! They have larger baskets than Benny's...about $40! He will throw them on right there too!:uhuh:

It's top heavy due to those Van Staals. I'll take them off your hands and you can have a couple lighter weight Stradics. Btw, where does your 18-year old friend ride?

A bike is not a bad idea, for anyone. It beats walking from point A to point B.
I think ya did a fine job!:)

the rear side baskets will kill the top heavy, I like the step thru(girls) bike for a canal cruiser, easy on and off

It's funny though, a tool that makes you more mobile, yet you end up spending less time actually fishing. Sometimes I wonder, ......although it is nice to follow a school of surfacing fish...hoping they get within range.

Btw - Nice bike.

It's like raking leaves.
You can stay in one spot hoping to rake all the leaves you can, or move around the yard a bit to get some more.:)
In reality it is to just give me a little distance from the crowd.
