View Full Version : Game 7 Bruins/Flyers
spinncognito 05-14-2010, 07:47 AM I am afraid to watch. I do not want to be let down again. After being at last seasons game 7 loss at home to Carolina and experiencing that horrible feeling walking out of the garden, I am not sure I can handle it this time especially because of how it has played out so far.
The ffffing Canadians are waiting for the winner :fury:
Do I think they can win? Yes. Do I think they will? I don't know, I do know that I seldom drink alcohol but tonight may be the exception. :buds:
Predictions?
I am going with a 2-1 B's win. They will score in the first three minutes of the game and get the game winner halfway through the third. Look for Rask to be huge and the refs to let them play.
stcroixman 05-14-2010, 08:48 AM Bruins need to score first or its just going to feel like the last 3 games.
Defensemen must clear Flyers from front of th enet.
ProfessorM 05-14-2010, 09:18 AM Make your tee times B's. I can't see them coming away with this game with their anemic offense, but I am usually wrong with predictions so please feel free to prove me wrong B's. It will be fun to watch though, I hope.:devil2:
BIG TIM 05-14-2010, 09:36 AM All I can do is cross my fingers and hold my breath!
Dad 818 05-14-2010, 06:49 PM 3-1 after one. Need to keep banging and keep up the intensity. Deflected goal got by Rask. Otherwise a great period for the home team.
nightfighter 05-14-2010, 07:20 PM I smell a stinker......

Yeah it's the 2nd period effort. Smells like sh!t. :smash: :fury: :yak5:
MarshCappa 05-14-2010, 07:50 PM :wall::wall: 3-3 after 2! You got to be kidding me!
MarshCappa 05-14-2010, 08:37 PM Great job B's! You made history alright! This one is going to talked about for a long time. What's next, besides the obvious tee times?:smash:
Rob Rockcrawler 05-15-2010, 12:48 AM I had a bad feeling after philly scored the first goal in the last couple minutes of the 1st.
ProfessorM 05-15-2010, 11:56 AM that bit. I actually didn't watch the second and most of third period and was quite surprised to find it tied when i tuned in again, but congrats to fellow Franklinite, Mr. Laviolette. Well done. Now go and beat the Habs.
Raider Ronnie 05-15-2010, 06:13 PM Another year done,
Another year Bobby Orr's legend grows !!!

I was really looking forward to a bruins - montreal semi finals
I know we weren't suppose to go this far and what little offense we had was gone due to injury, but right now I am so disapointed in these guys I can't even look forward to the #2 draft pick in 40 some odd days.
I really am getting tired of rooting for this franchise.
Dad 818 05-15-2010, 09:14 PM When they went up 3-0, Clod Julien switched to a 1-2-2 type of forecheck/defense and it cost them. He needs to go.
Feel bad for Rask. 2 of the 4 Flyers goals were off of Bruins defensemen.
Wheeler does nothing for me. 6'5" and is afraid to get in front of the goalie. Ryder seemed to step up, but if they can get anything for him I think they have to take it. Wideman can just go.
They need to get Thomas to waive his no-trade clause.
SurfCaster413 05-16-2010, 02:02 AM Cant wait for October I think its gonna be a new team with goal scoring and a stud young goalie

Me too. This damn thread is always here when I check the new posts. Wish it would get deleted so I could forget about it completely.

Not sure why Julien had the team stop attacking after the first period, too long to protect lead for two periods. Frustrating. Rask could have played better. The "fluke" goal in the first he should have stopped and he simply handed Hartnell the puck on the second goal. Way too many "juicy" rebounds. I think he wore down like many predicted he may before the playoffs. Compare him to Halak and what he is doing.
Regardless I am ultra bummed too as a B's Habs showdown would have been awesome. Right now I do not care about the draft or next season but I will still be watching the rest of the playoffs.
