Thanks :fishin: MAKAI 05-22-2010, 12:14 AM Don't laugh a few years ago a couple of Barney Fifes pulled me out of the water at hatches saying it was against the law to be raking shellfish. Took ten minutes to explain what I was doing.( raking sandeels ) One ranger says I guess it's ok we don't have a rule against that for now. Meanwhile the fat little pugsley with him keeps tapping his sidearm looking at me with his mirrored aviators. Yeeesh what joke. piemma 05-22-2010, 01:18 AM do you have to be a MA> resident to rake sand eels in MA.? Do I need a license ??? Thanks :fishin: Don't know with new regs Mike but back when I was fishing the Back heavy we raked over at Pamet all the time and then ran across to Ballston. We never had a probelm and saw cops and rangers all the time. RI plates on both of our trucks that we ran to the Cape with. Saltheart 05-22-2010, 11:26 AM Call Mike T and ask , I bet he knows ProfessorM 05-22-2010, 02:39 PM been doing it for many years and never had a license. I have not started yet this year, but I am sure they are there. I have no need for them now. I think fluke opened today in Ma. My favorite fluke bait, so maybe soon. Mike I will give you a pm when I start raking and maybe if you want I can take you in the tin boat but you will have to wear a blindfold. Is fluke what you want them for? justplugit 05-22-2010, 04:27 PM Mike I will give you a pm when I start raking and maybe if you want I can take you in the tin boat but you will have to wear a blindfold. Never tried it but I do find fresh to be the best bait for fluke when I go. Especially 2 with a double hook strip bait. I will try this weekend and see if any are there, I've seen plenty swimming around, and if so maybe we can try late next week if you want or if I get a bunch when I go looking I will give them to you. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
