Bingo, Never let a good crisis go to waste. RIROCKHOUND 06-02-2010, 12:39 PM Bingo, Never let a good crisis go to waste. While there is probably issues the motives of a lot of these people, there probably is a kernel of truth to it, no? If the oil spill occurred in the Hudson or Ches. we'd be concerned over S-B spawning for that year class, no? But given the volatile and storied battle over BFT do we dismiss it as greenie-leftist-faggy arm-waving... (This is not a post to advocate a reactionary response, just trying to provoke some discussion) What happens if during the clean-up the seine up a bunch of larval/very juvenile BFT..... Nebe 06-02-2010, 04:26 PM Any of you who think that there will not be any long lasting ecological problems relating to the spill listen up. Pull your head out of your %$%$%$%$ing ass Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device Sea Flat 06-07-2010, 10:35 AM This spill will have major ramifications!! No doubt. Will it really effect the BFT in the Northeast? I do not know and doubt that scientists really know the answer either. Either way, not the point. It does not take a psycho lefty to realize that this is HUGE and will negatively effect many species of birds, fish etc in that area. I got a good laugh this morning when I read that they didn't close all the relief valves on the cap because with only one valve closed, it exceeded the 15000 barrel/day capacity of the ship it was attached to and they refuse to let anyone attach flow measurement devices to it. This was a monster oil reserve and the flow is far greater than anyone has suggested. The oil may flow up the east coast in another month or so is my guess. They really should have nuked it (yes, I know the ramifications) shut weeks ago... Raven 06-08-2010, 08:13 PM but they completely lied to our Government about how much oil was escaping in the first place to reduce their liability MakoMike 06-09-2010, 12:45 PM but they completely lied to our Government about how much oil was escaping in the first place to reduce their liability But they are totally liable for the clean up, so why would they lie. They aren't going to save themselves any $$$ by it. Raven 06-09-2010, 01:14 PM But they are totally liable for the clean up, so why would they lie. They aren't going to save themselves any $$$ by it. possibly to cover up some criminal acts... the "show" as it was called on the news will begin on july 21rst or maybe it was june 21rst when they start questioning the bp officials vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
