Terry sent this to me today and too good not to pass on. All were caught on Salty's lures :kewl:

"This will be a short report because I'm tired. Today I had Jeff, Gwen and Jaime on the boat for a half day bass trip. My buddy JJ wanted some mate time so he came along to help out, and its a good thing he did.
We got on site and the birds and bass were all over the surface. The sounder was locked up solid with fish and it was on. Gwen had never landed a striper and it took all of one cast to change that.

With the curse off it was hammer down on nice sized bass.

Doubles, Triples and Quads were the rule.

As she got her confidence up the size of the fish went up too.

Jaime had the hot hand today with nearly ALL of his bass looking like this!

About mid morning the bass fishing was in full swing. Thats when things went astray!
THe Salty Big Mouth Popper went into a tuna feed.

And almost didn't come back!

Jeff has several nice tuna under his belt and he put the hammer down on the fish. Dispite not using our regular gear he did a great job. The Stella's are getting serviced so I replaced them on the Big Guns with some Fin Not 7500OS reels that Fin Nor wnated me to test for them. They tested VERY well.
20 minutes in and Jeff yells COLOR! I get a clean shot and run the Poon right through the fish!

Everyone was thrilled that a half day bass trip ended like this!

The tuna must have REALLY wanted the Salty Popper because when I looked in the fishes mouth it was GONE! It took gutting the fish to get the popper back. Something I've NEVER seen before. The popper was in the fishes stomach already!!!!

Those are Riptide Specials-he asked for these with the heavy split rings. Standard VMC 4x hooks. They work very well for tuna. Interesting that he has found that blue white is one of the top colors for these fish. The size is just right for throwing on those rods.

Awesome - always reading these reports with a bit of mixed emotions - happy for everyone involved and jealous I was not there ...
