View Full Version : Saudis clear ISreal to Bomb Iran Raven 06-12-2010, 07:40 AM Saudis clear Israel to bomb Iran? - Iran- msnbc.com (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/37653040/ns/world_news-mideastn_africa/) Here we go..... Nebe 06-12-2010, 07:58 AM WWIII spence 06-12-2010, 08:03 AM Saudi Arabia has benefited dramatically from a strong nuclear protected Israel. It has served to keep the region stable and permit the royal family to make billions selling oil. Their national strategy will do anything to keep this equation in balance, just like the USA will do anything to maintain our control of the world's oceans, North America and keep any one region from gaining too much influence globally. The fact that Iran is choke full of Shiites doesn't help matters either. The neocons love to talk about Iran as a mortal enemy, but the real threat is a Sunni Shiite conflict. I don't see a war with Iran any time soon. If a real conflict started we could level most of the nation without even resorting to nukes. If they attacked Israel, Tehran would get lit up...don't think they don't know this. There's a reason Iran has resorted to underground support of terror groups as it's about their only option. By fueling the Israeli/Palestine conflict they are empowered by conservative elements of the Islamic community at home and abroad. Most likely things will get heated and the Iranian military will acquiesce in an attempt to maintain power. They simply don't have the resources to keep their own people down an fight a real war at the same time. -spence stcroixman 06-12-2010, 05:01 PM Israel might find stiff resistance from Iran. Let those 2 fight it out. Swimmer 06-12-2010, 06:59 PM One thing about Israel, they are not going to warn Iran so the populace can clear out of the cities. They just bomb away. Different from the way we do things. I would not be so sure Spence, that this isn't going to be the catalyst. Although Israel isn't going to lt it seem like they needed the Saudi's permission, so maybe they will wait awhile longer. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
