I was out on a 1/2 day charter with my cousin and his son Saturday out of Hampton Beach, NH.
The 45 minute ride took us to a "secret" spot, only it wasn't a secret anymore. There had to be 30-40 boats of variuos size clustered around this "hot spot". The fishing stunk. Out boat of 60+ people manages a little over a half dozen fish.
The highlight of the day was seeing and hearing to charter boats collide in the midst of this disaster. One boat was backing up, and both bows collided and where dragged against each other as the boats parted.

What a waste of a day!

I went out yesterday for a full day out of Portsmouth.....had to be 50-60 boats all converging on this one little piece of water.....the fishing was slow to start but started kicking in about an hour before it was time to leave. our boat did OK....one guy got one that bottomed out a 50 lb scale....friggin thing was huge.

I managed a couple for the freezer....nothing big, but definitely tasty
