I agree, not easy to make a plastic plug that swims well. Defiantly has a place in my bag now and i dont go anywhere with out 1 or 2. I tried loading one tho and wasnt impressed, but out of the package its nice.

This is my new favorite commerical plug:)

ive done incredibly well on it this season.

theyre are cheap $15.99, come with vmcs and wolverines and flat out catch fish.

the loaded ones are great for heavy current and rough surf, i retrieve it with a steady motion and quick jerks of the rod send it into a darting frenzy. plus they cast a better than the original.

I have 3 in my bag right now and about 6 others in assorted colors.

Northbar lures are a great value and They come out of the package ready to fish. You don't have to change out the hooks or split rings.

load to exactly 3 ounces with water . Kills the action but the fish still love it .. in the ditch anyways .. On the beach I'd leave it alone .

Wood is fun, but there is a ton of plastic that has so many positives.

NB has talked about increasing the length of the attachment eye so that you can tweek the depth. I've been holding off, waiting for this enhancement.

You are missing out. For the price you simply can't go wrong.

hate to say it but not a fan of the wood ..(numby clinches fist).. weighed the wood at M&D's ,, suppose to weigh 2.5 same as the plastic but they are lighter .. don't cast or fish as well imho. Plastic ,,, don't be a hater . blame Don Musso and Bob Pond if you don't like it . :fury:

I love fishing wood as much as the next guy, but Woody has a great point. Plastic flat out hammers fish. My career personal best fish came this year on a yozuri Mag Darter. If you had asked me this winter if I thought I would beach a 40 pound fish on that plug, I would have laughed.

Woody,

I'll trade you that lucky mag darter for a few pichneys. Seeing how you love plastic so much....

Do you guys change out the hooks at all on the NB? I have one with a dressed siwash on the back...I was thinking about getting some more. Does this affect the action, or help it?

Thanks!
